It's the third Monday of July and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Hey Chuck. You have likely come from Kim Fee’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
I don’t often gravitate to cartoon style images. I can’t immediately come up with something to create with them. But for some reason this set was different. And I decided if I was going to use cartoon images, then the background must also be cartoon-like. That’s where Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper was perfect. There were no live chickens harmed during the making of this card!

I love the crisp detail of the fern leaf in this set. So I decided to use it as the focal point of this card. But check out the gorgeous images in this set. I agree that Stampin’ Up! seems to favor flower/botanical images, but this one just clicked for me. And never let the absence of a suite that includes Designer Series Paper stop you from using a coordinating Designer Series Paper. Many of the Designer Series Papers coordinate with non-related sets. And Inked Botanicals is a perfect match for this bundle. I accidentally had two of the papers side by side and loved the Calypso Coral one as an accent. The secret is to just lay them all out and play!

Stampin’ Up! Artistic Mix Decorative Masks
It's the third Monday of June and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew Hop. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Beautiful Balloons. You have likely come from Cindy Elam’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
I love this set for lots of reasons. Coupled with the die set it has an almost limitless combination of stamp/die images. Four different balloon stamp images, six balloon die cuts, three different including a string image, plus two star dies, two different confetti dies, a tag and a fringe die. Plus don’t forget the crepe paper festoon, a line of stars, and six sentiments. This set sure kept my head spinning on which direction to go. If you have this set I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am!
This was also the first time I tried stenciling. I was a little put off by the technique at first. Past experiences with other masks were not impressive. But with the stencils through Stampin’ Up!, and the shading brushes, it was a piece of cake.

It's the fifth Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew’s Bonus Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring Wildlife Wonder. You have likely come from Terri Tank’s’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
Stampin’ Up! has so few masculine stamp sets so featuring this stamp set the month before Father’s Day is perfect timing. And the images can be colored for realism or to represent a pen and ink sketch. I did a little bit of both. The wolf is in Crumb Cake. The owl is in Soft Suede. (so sorry to see this color retire, but Pecan Pie works) Both the trees and sentiment are stamped in Mossy Meadow, but the trees are stamped off twice before stamping the image on the cardstock.

Rick and I spent a week in NYC last month. Before Covid we would make the trip every year to attend the Broadway Backwards. It’s a Broadway Cares, Equity Fights AIDS Benefit. Since we’re flying from the left coast to the east coast, we always make the trip count. We saw five musicals. While we sat in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre waiting for the overture to Sweeney Todd, I noticed the wall decor. The accents were this wonderful mix of textured tiles framed with Baroque flourishes. As I studied these artful masterpieces I thought “This would make a great card!” (Yes, even on Broadway I’m thinking Stampin’ Up!)
The card was created using the Timeless Tiles background stamped in Old Olive on Balmy Blue cardstock and matted on Old Olive cardstock - an uncommon color mix, but it works!

It's the second Monday of the month and that means it's Bonus Hop time for the Stamp Review Crew.. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring Taco Fiesta. You have likely come from Holly Krautkremer’s Blog on your way through this amazing hop. Okay, I know it’s a month until Cinco de Mayo. But this set is perfect for the holiday. But the challenge is using all the small stamps. It’s great for backgrounds and accents. And as always the images are crisp and clear. I used some retired Designer Series Paper that was available through Sale-a-bration last fall. It has a satin cloth on one side but the reverse side has a stone finish. You could get the same effect from blending brushes. And yes, the piñata does swing! (I have a sudden desire for chips and guacamole!)

It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew’s Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the Something Fancy Cling stamp set. You have likely come from Jay Soriano’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
What better stamp set than Something Fancy to use for a wedding card? And what better color than Blushing Bride (a retiring color the end of April)? The Something Fancy Bundle shoul definitely be in your stash. This set has a great collection of stamps and a greater collection of dyes to frame those stamps with. Sentiments ranging from Thank You all the way through to With Sympathy are part of this stamp set and multiple dyes of the same shape are in the dies, the set to not only cut out a shape, but mat it in the same shape. Perfect! Add a few design cut outs and a tag hole and you’re good as gold. (Which is what I used for the backing cord a metallic dots accents!) The ribbon is 1/4” white satin colored with a Fresh Freesia. Blends Marker (a 2021-23 In Color that will be moving to the Subtles Color Collection in the 2023-24 Annual Catalog). The paper is from the last Sale-a-bration in January and February. It’s perfect for spring - AND weddings.

It's the first Monday of March and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew’s Blog Hop. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Potted Geraniums. You have likely come from Holly Krautkremer’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
In Palm Springs, geraniums are around most of the year. The climate can be unfriendly to plants but if you water them enough, any plant can thrive. My fondest memories of geraniums are from flower markets and nurseries where you see them in mass.
I used my Stamparatus to create my geraniums. Once it was lined up, it was a breeze to create lots of them. If one geranium is good, ten are 10 times as good. That’s the image I was going for here. I hope I was successful. What do you think?

There are a few bundles, a new stitched die set, a few Stampin’ Up! logo products, and many more cool things. But what I’m most excited about is a new Colorful Kaleidoscope card kit that is gender neutral. With it you can create cards appropriate for EVERYONE on your mailing list! And not a flower in sight! Check it out along with all the other exclusively online products.

It's the third Monday of February and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring our second addition of the Sale-a-bration catalog. You have likely come from Heidi Baks on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
Sale-a-bration happens twice a year. We are in the final days of our first of 2023. The last day to take advantage of the amazing sale is February 28th.
Although I’ve chosen several of the items from the Sale-a-bration Mini, I keep coming back to the Favored Flowers 12”x12” Designer Series Paper. It is one of the richest Designer Series Papers Stampin’ Up! has had in a long time. It coordinates with the Fragrant Flowers stamp and die sets. And an extra bonus is one of the designs of the Designer Series Paper coordinates with two of the dies so you don’t have to fussy cut them out! (See the flower attached to the sentiment tag below) I’ll feature a few of my must have items from the Sale-a-bration catalog below. Only a few days left, so don’t let these pass you by.

This was waiting for my Card Club members when they arrived for class last Saturday. The project is created with a single sheet of 6”x6” Designer Series Paper. It involves no cutting. Just score and fold. We’ll be making one for our March class with a St Patrick’s Day theme. And maybe for April - Easter?
The projects fold flat so you can make many in advance and store them away. Great for last minute “thinking of you” gifts! And Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper is perfect as it lines the inside of the bag with a contrasting pattern.
