With the Holidays just around the corner, my thoughts go back to the family and friends I left behind when I moved to Southern California back in 1984.  It seems like a lifetime since then. And in fact I’ve lived longer in California than I did in Michigan. So I felt this sentiment was perfect for a card that takes me back to Maple trees and apple cider.

• The card front was created using Gingham Cottage and Cherry Cobbler card stock.
• The sentiment was stamped using Early Espresso ink.
• The stems and seeds were also inked in Soft Suede.
• the leaf was inked in Pumpkin Pie and accented using Real Red ink using a Sponge Dauber directly to the stamp before I stamped it on to Very Vanilla card stock.

Beautiful card. I live in Illinois and have many similar leaves in my yard and still on my trees.
