Stampin’ UP! Peaceful Cabin and Beauty of the Earth DSP
Sometimes you just have to look at things differently. Take, for instance, the Peaceful Cabin stamp set in he July-December Mini Catalog.
This set looks like a beautiful winter stamp set with trees covered with snow and drifted snow surrounding the cabin. But I only saw a peaceful cabin. Of course it doesn’t hurt to have a cabin in the San Jacinto Mountains of Southern California. So I guess it was easy for me to place that cabin in any season. So I decided fall was in the air and the frost had painted the ground a warm shade of auburn can you see it?
- This card started its life with a piece of the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper as a mat and another as a card face.
- I applied Cajun Craze ink to the bottom third of the card face using a Blending Brush.
- The trees were stamped in Evening Evergreen ink - the perfect color for these conifers.
- The cabin was stamped with Soft Suede ink on Basic White card stock. The ground and surrounding area was colored with Cajun Craze ink. It was fussy cut and attached to the card using Dimensionals.
And there you have it - the perfect fall scene. I can almost smell the logs burning in the fireplace!
Wow! What a beautiful card. Guess I'll be buying that stamp set!
