Stampin’ UP! Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and Expressions In Ink DSP
It's the third Monday of August and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Butterfly Brilliance. You have likely come from Cindy Elam’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
The detail on the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set is breathtaking. The above graphic doesn't do it justice. And this set, like so many others, has a coordinating die set. You can cut out all the butterfly images at once with a single die, or cut each out with its own individual die. And the outline dies are a super easy way to add drama to any card.
This card is pretty easy to create. The background is created using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and Smoky Slate cardstock. A Basic Gray ink pad was pulled across the side of the folder that has the Stampin’ UP! logo on it and then the cardstock was layer on the non-inked side and embossed. The butterfly was stamped on Basic White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The wings were colored using Daffodil Delight Blends and the wing tips were colored using Pumpkin Pie ink and Blending Brushes.
This card was created by heat embossing the butterfly using Gold Embossing Powder on Evening Evergreen cardstock. The butterfly was cut out using the die. The butterfly outline was die cut from Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and glued over the embossed image using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The butterfly was mounted on Evening Evergreen cardstock using Dimensionals and matted on Gold Foil. The background is Expressions In Ink DSP mounted on Gold Foil.

Wow and wow! I absolutely love how you created the texture on the embossed background and the 'glittery goodness' of the second one.
