It's the fifth Monday of August and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew Bonus Round. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Nothing’s Better Than. You have likely come from Stesha Bloodhart’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
Who doesn’t like chocolate? When I was growing up in Michigan there was a chocolate shoppe called Sanders. I think they’re still around although not in Southern California. My grandmother would take me to their shoppe and we’d sit at the counter - you know, the style of counter with the round swivel seats and chrome everywhere - and I’d devour one of their hot fudge sundaes. I can almost taste them. In fact Costco carries their dark chocolate sea salt caramels in plastic jug - heaven in 1” by 1” squares! Where was I? Oh yeah, who doesn’t like chocolate. Well that’s the image that popped into my head when I saw this hop’s stamp set. But because my neighbor Andee’s birthday was Tuesday I opted to create a more “adult” card as a birthday card.
This card was so much fun to create. I even lined the envelope and added Happy Birthday inside. I started creating the drinks as strawberry daiquiris but then decided to add a margarita and pink lemonade. The “Cocktails” and “Happy Birthday” were created using the Rainbow Glimmer Paper and the DSP is Berry Delightful from this year’s Sale-a-bration catalog.
