Stampin’ UP! Hand Penned DSP and Penned Flowers Dies
It's the fifth Monday of August and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew Bonus Round. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Hand-Penned Petals. You have likely come from Cindy Elam’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
I love pen & ink style stamps. To me they’re twice as versatile as regular line stamps because they already have that artsy look to them before you do anything! My three cards today reflect the diversity - and challenge - that is Hand -Penned Petals.
I’ll start by using my first ever creation with this set when it was first available to demonstrators as a pre-order. One of the great benefits of being a demonstrator is getting to see all the new catalog items and purchase them first! I wanted to use a new stamp set with the new In Colors for 2021-23. This set has the solid stamps for coloring in the flowers and leaves with an ink pad - so easy. Here’s the card using all 5 of the In Colors and two of the dies.
My second card is a bit more involved using the flower stem as a focal point, cut out with the dies and matted on a piece of Hand Penned Designer Series Paper. The frame was created from the retired die set Celebration Labels.
The last card is a style that is a trusted go-to design for me. I love black and white or black and metallic techniques. This card is a very basic design using gold foil sheets, gold embossing powder, and Stitched Rectangles dies. The sentiment is from Very Versailles.
Next stop on the Hop is Lou Kitzelman’s blog where she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.
These are great Mike and l have to agree with Linda, your black/gold combinations is so elegant.
