Stampin’ UP! Snowflake Splendor DSP and So Many Snowflakes Dies
It's the third Monday of December and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set suite Snowflake Wishes. You have likely come from Jay Soriano’s blog Mitosu Crafts on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
Snowflake Wishes is part of a suite of products called Snowflake Splendor Suite. This suite contains everything you need to create a color coordinated project with very little effort.
This is my favorite time of year. It’s a time to dress up your home with sparkle and the fragrant smell of fresh pine and cookies fresh from the oven. The above pic was taken in front of our tree in our cabin in the San Jacinto Mountains of Idyllwild California. In fact, since this pandemic started, all of the backgrounds to my cards have been here. Since the pic gave you a peek of our tree, I thought I’d include a pic of the whole tree. Click the image to get a clear pic of the whole tree. I thought ‘what better place to take a picture of a Christmas card than in front of a Christmas tree!’ But enough of the cabin. Let’s get to the card!
This card was inspired by a card I received many years ago. Do you save Christmas cards you like? It’s been sitting on my stamping desk all season just waiting for an opportunity to use the inspiration. The tree image is from the Winter Woods stamp set. It was stamped on Bermuda Bay card stock using VersaMark™️ Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I used a quarter of a Stamping Sponge (cut them in quarters using a pair of sharp scissors) to apply Pacific Point ink over the image. Wipe off the excess ink on the image using a tissue.
I used the frame die from the So Many Snowflakes dies to cut out the frame from a piece of the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper. I used the same die to cut out the frame on a pieces of Glimmer Paper. I used the retired Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper because my Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper didn’t arrive on time.
Then I used the Stitched Nested Labels die that was a size larger than the So Many Snowflakes frame die to create the Glimmer frame and glued it on top of the DSP.
Place the DSP/Glimmer frame over the embossed tree image and mat it on a piece of Pacific Point card stock. I added a few Opal Rounds from the upcoming 2021 January - June Mini Catalog for accents. These are part of the Sand & Sea Suite and IT IS GORGEOUS!
The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White card stock using Bermuda Bay ink and cut out using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and a 3/4” strip of Whisper White card stock!
Gorgeous Mike love it and your tree too!
