It's the fifth Monday of August and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew Bonus Round. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the stamp set Perfectly Plaid. You have likely come from Kelly Kent’s blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
This set is part of the 2020-21 Annual Catalog’s Holiday section. It’s a great set to create many Clean and Simple creations. And it had a wonderful Designer Series Paper which I used in these cards. So let’s get started...
My first card features the Stamparatus. And I’m going to start this by saying “Thank God for the Stamparatus.” There’s no way I could have created this card without it. It uses Silver Embossing Powder on Pacific Point card stock. The sentiment is Pacific Point ink on Whisper White card stock matted on Silver Foil Card Stock. I staggered the trees to be able to fit more on the card front. The sentiment is from the Light Me Home stamp set and matted on Silver Foil using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.
My second card uses the Designer Series Paper Wrapped In Plaid matted on Green Foil using Dimentionals. The center tree was punched from the matt but the cut out is hidden by the DSP. It is attached using Dimensionals. The DSP has gold lines running through it. So the star is from the Stitched Stars Thinlits set cut out of Gold Foil. The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green ink on Whisper White card stock.
Next stop on the Hop is Charlet Mallett where she'll
wow you with her beautiful design skills.
Wow Mike! That embossing on the foil is amazing. Love them both. x

Hi Mike, great cards! I keep forgetting I have that foil paper. I'd better dig it out. Merry Christmas to you.

Beautiful and elegant foil card, but I really love the subtle background you created with your first card.

Great job, Mike! The first card is stunning! I can't believe you heat embossed all of these trees. I can only imagine how gorgeous it is in real life. The green foil paired with plaid on your second card is such a classic. Of course, you can never go wrong with plaid!
