Stampin' UP! Quilt Builder Framelits Dies and Dapper Denim Classic Ink
It's the third Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the Christmas Quilt Bundle. You have likely come from Holly Krautkremer on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
This is such a cool set - both for the flexibility of the stamps AND the framelits. And as I have tried to do in the past, I'm showing you a completely different way to use this amazing set. When I saw that this hop fell right in the center of Hanukkah I knew, with a little imagination, I could come up with something. The secret of this card is measure, measure, measure! This is my interpretation of a super modern menorah. Let's get in to how it was done!
Step by Step Tips:
- The front is a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock. I drew a light pencil line dividing the car in half at 2 1/2" . Then I drew 4 light pencil lines on either side of the center line every 1/2".
- Stamp the double quilt shapes on the center line close to the bottom edge in Dapper Denim Classic Ink. Clean the stamp.
- Draw a horizontal pencil line 1/2" from the bottom of the card. Ink a single diamond in ink and line the bottom and top points of the first diamond on the first 1/2" vertical line from the center with the bottom tip at the 1/2" horizontal line. Repeat with the other 7 lines.
- Emboss two of the flower shapes in the stamp set with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder on Silver Foil paper. Cut it out using the petals framelit. Glue in place with Multi Purpose Liquid Glue.
- Stamp the "Peace" sentiment in the upper left corner.
- Glue the card front to a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Dapper Denim Card Stock and wrap a piece of Silver 1/8" Ribbon around the card front to create the bottom of the menorah. Simple!
Next stop on the hop is Natalie Lapakko where
she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.

I wanted a card for Friends celebrating Hanukkah and magically it has appeared.
Thank you so much Mike. This card is awesome.
I admit measuring is not my forte - ;o). But this card is worth it for our special Friends.
