Stampin' UP! Stampin' Blends and Woodland Embossing Folder
Happy New Year! It's the first Monday of the New Year and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the Christmas Quilt Bundle. You have likely come from Cindy Elam on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
This was a great project to play with my Stampin’ Blends. I have most of the colors. They’re really fun to play with and coupled with some great images in this stamp set, it was really easy to create this fun card.
Step by Step Tips:
- I used the Woodland Embossing Folder to create the background with a 3 3/4” x 5” piece of Whisper White card stock. I kept the background neutral to highlight the images in this fun set. The background is mounted on a 4” x 5 1/4” piece of Real Red card stock.
- I used the light and dark Old Olive to free hand some grass sprigs and also to color the turtle and one of the balloons.
- The pup is colored with light and dark Crumb Cake.
- The three balloons are colored with light and dark Cherry Cobbler, Tempting Turquoise, and Calypso Coral. The strings were free handed using a Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
- Paper Snips make fussy cutting the images a piece of (cup)cake! All the images are popped up using Dimensionals! Simple!
Next stop on the hop is Martha Inchley where
she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.
