Stampin' UP! Painted Autumn Suite
It's the third Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the Painted Harvest . You have likely come from Charlet Mallett on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
I have always loved watercolor art. And in fact, I have been inspired on several projects in the past by watercolor artwork. But I was never able to replicate it. Certainly NEVER free hand. But even when I had stamps, it was a challenge for me to make it look like an original piece of art....until the Painted Harvest stamp set came along. This set makes it easy to make you look like Van Gogh! (Well, maybe not, but darn close! Don't cut off any ears just yet!) So, since I knew the Stamp Review Crew was featuring this set, I held off until now to show you how. Hang on to your AquaPainter!
- Painted Harvest is a photopolymer stamp set that makes t really easy to position. It is part of a suite of products which includes Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. I close start with the DSP in a very muted pattern. I found that the others detracted from the main image. The 3 3/4" x 5" piece of DSP is matted on Soft Suede Card Stock.
- The main image is stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock using Crushed Curry and Peekaboo Peach Classic Ink for the petals and Soft Suede Classic Ink for the center. It was edges using Crumb Cake Classic Ink using a Stamping Sponge, These sponges are huge, so cut them in quarters using a pair of scissors.
- The fern leaves were stamped using Crumb Cake Classic Ink for both layers. Again I found using dark colors detracted from the main image.
- The Sentiment was stamped using Early Espresso Classic Ink.
Next stop on the hop is Martha Inchley where
she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.

So pretty, Mike! Like Adriana, I really like the effect of the sponging on you square.

So many have put the flower on a circle, which just look right to me. The square is much more appealing. Thanks

Hi Mike! Nice work with the set. When I first looked at the card, I thought the flower layer was perhaps tile. The color on the edge shows with such dimension that I really thought I was looking at tile :)
