Stampin' UP! Eastern Palace
It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the Eastern Beauty Suite. You have likely come from Debra Burgin on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
You might notice that I refer to this week's set as a suite. That's because, in addition to the Bundle option saving you 10%, this set is part of a much larger suite of products - all color coordinated and all theme based. This is actually the first time I've used this set. And although I am featuring a project with a non-Holiday theme, this set will work very well as a Holiday set as you can see by the insert of the stained glass window. The suite includes Designer Series Paper, Gold stickers, tassels, and card stock color packs. What both projects also have in common is they both use our new Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. These markers blend so beautifully, but what I love about the is their smooth consistent color. The stained glass window shows how well they work on a nonporous surface like vellum. You'll see links at the bottom of my post for all these products. Enjoy!
Step by Step Tips:
- The Hexagon 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder is the most stunning embossing folder I've ever seen. The pic doesn't do it justice! So that's where I started with Berry Burst. Then I matted it on a piece of Gold Foil.
- The flowers were stamped with Memento Ink on Whisper White card stock and colored in using the Light and Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends Markers. The stickers were to complete the look. One was mounted directly on the card face using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I used this because I've found that items attached to embossing folder textures hold better with this product
- The banner was created on Berry Burst card stock using the 11/2" Banner Triple Punch. It was stamped using Gold Embossing Powder, matted on Gold Foil and attached using Dimensionals.
- The second flower was attached using Dimensionals. The three sticker accents from the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers. Simple!
Next stop on the hop is Tanya Boser where

I love the rich colors, texture and layers, especially the blossom peeking out from under the banner. And they way you alternated light and dark when you colored the blossoms - very cool. (Love those markers!)
