Stampin' UP! Sunshine Sayings and Sunshine Wishes Thinlits
It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators sharing a ton of ideas focused on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and coordinating Sunshine Wishes Thinlits dies. You have likely come from Charlet Mallett's blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
I haven't been as prolific in my card making as I would like to be. Dealing with a few issues here that has kept me from creating, but hopefull I'm back to the blog! New Year's resolution - I will make more Clean and Simple cards! I want you all to be able to create what I create quickly and easily. This stamp set is one of my favorites for many reasons - the least of which is not that it has a coordinating Thinlits die set. I'm so passionate about bundle pricing and coordinating sets. They are such a bargain. And Sunshine Sayings has SO MANY sentiments! It's bound to go with just about any occasion. Pair it with the Occasions mini Falling In Love Designer Series Paper, and you have a dynamite duo for making great Valentine's cards, weeding cards, anniversary cards, or just because!
Step by Step Tips:
- Start by taking the hearts sheet from the Falling In Love DSP and cutting a 4“x5 1/4” piece for the card front. Mount it on a 4 1/8“x5 3/8” piece of Melon Mambo card stock,
- Using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits die set, cut out the heart and flower from Melon Mambo and the Love from Cherry Cobbler. If you don't already have the Precision Base Plate, it's a wise investment. It makes die cutting these particular images much easier. And here's a hint...Place a piece of wax paper between the die and the card stock, and the die cut almost falls out of the die!
- Ink up the IS IN THE AIR stamp with Cherry Cobbler and stamp it in the lower right corner.
- Glue the flower and heart like the card front above. Glue the Love over the heart and you're in business!
Next stop on the hop is Heidi Baks where she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.
