Thought id repost this. Last Monday my computer as down and this post came in piecemeal So here's the completed post
It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators focused on sharing a ton of ideas focusing on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring Christmas Pines. You have likely come from Linda Callahan on your way hrough this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
Step by Step Tips:
- I love the look you get from doing tone on tone stamping. The card background was achieved from using Smoky Slate Classic Ink on Smoky Slate card stock. It creates such a soft look.
- Christmas Pines is one of those sets that have corresponding Framelits. This made it super easy to stamp the background Pines and die cut the ones in front. I gave the boughs more depth by creating a stem for the boughs with my Emerald Envy Stampin' Write marker.
- Sparkle is just what I created for my candle flame. I cut out two flames using one of the dies from the Botanical Builders Framelits set in Orange Glimmer Paper and Gold Glimmer Paper. You could also just freeform cut the flame. Then I placed one of the medallions from the Flourish Thinlits dies on the Gold Glimmer Paper. This gave me a two-toned flame.
- The candle was created using a square of Real Red card stock shaded using my Foam Roller. Simple!
Next stop on the hop is Tanya Boser where she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.
Yep....like it.
Good one. Saving for next year.

Wonderful card! Perfect combination of products. The wood grain background stamp pairs so nicely with your pine needles and candle. Very pretty.
