It's the third Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators focused on sharing a ton of ideas focusing on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring Paisleys & Posies. You have likely come from Tanya Boser on your way through this amazing hop. This card was created many months ago when I was trying to determine a good combination of colors for the roses. My inspiration for the color palette was for a Pals Paper Arts color challenge. I throw NOTHING away, so when I found this trio of roses, it was the inspiration for today's SRC challenge. I hope you enjoy it!
Step by Step Tips:
- I decided I wanted to make this a gate fold card. So the Wild Wasabi base card of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" was scored on the long side at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"
- the hummingbird was stamped on a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Wild Wasabi for layer #1, Emerald Ivy for level #2, and Calypso Coral for level #3. Then I measured 1 7/8" from the left edge and drew a light pencil line. I cut along the line to the hummingbird, and then fussy cut the head of the hummingbird.
- The three roses are created using Crajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Perfect Plum. In each case level #1 was stamped off twice, level #2 was stamped off once, and level #3 was full strength.
- The notched sentiment was created using a 1/2" hole punch. Simple!
Next stop on the hop is Rochelle Blok where she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.

Wow! What a spectacular creation. The hummingbird coming to get the nectur from the flowers is beautiful. The gate fold makes the whole thing spectacular. And the roses... Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing, hugs Jess
