Stampin' Up! Work of Art & Fall Fest
It's Sunday and time for Paper Players' Theme Challenge. The challenge is It's Fall Y'all! Fall is not a challenge here in the desert after experiencing the 112° summer temperatures AND Fall is also not a challenge for this project. In fact I created two! And of course having a spouse from the south, (he claims he married a northern aggressor) do y'all know what the plural of y'all is? Why it's ALL y'all, of course!
Step by Step Tips:
- I stayed with the same color palette for both of these cards - Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, So Saffron, Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, and Tangelo Twist.
- Okay, so I'm using the Top Note as a frame again. The card needed something, and this was just the ticket!
- I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Work of Art stamp set. The brush strokes are so amazing. Just warnng you you'll be seeing this a lot. The sentiment is also from the same set.
- I ressurrected Thoughts & Prayers. I haven'y used this stamp set in quite some time, but have always loved the images. The brush strokes just needed something it bit more contemporary than Lovely As A Tree.
- Finally a tip! After inking up the pumpkins in Tangelo Twist and Pumpkin Pie, I used mt Blender Pen to remove the ink from the pumpkin stem. Then I tapped the stem in Early Espresso. It's so easy to do that when yu can see through the stamp! Simple!
Waaaayyyyyyyyyy behind in emails - were down in San Diego area a few weeks ago - critically ill SIL who very sadly did not make it - and playing catch up with emails ever since...had to tell you how very much I love both of your cards...like you the Bay Area is also not seeing or feeling any Fall....hope it shows up VERY SOON for all of us - and some rain as well! Take good care!

Mike, both cards are fabulous and show a mastery of the Work of Art stamp set. Love the way you've used it for the harvest sky in your first card. All y'all must be fixin' to great fall as happily as we are in Florida! ;-) (hugs)

What fun Fall cards, Mike! That first one is a real eye-catcher! Love the bright colors because colors always look brighter in the Fall for some reason. I hope y'all do experience a little Fall…maybe at the cabin?! :)

Lovely cards, however I really like the first one with the pumpkins and the tree, great idea combining the two sets. Fabulous tip about the stems of the pumpkins too, the touch of ink the pumpkins sit on is perfect, great job!

Love both of them. I live in SW Missouri...pretty much qualifies for the "south" if you could hear my accent!

You are so right, Mike! Being a Georgia girl, it is ALL, Y'ALL! LOL!
(I am a Mid-Western transplant in the south!)

I love both of these cards!!! Couldn't choose one over the other if I had to. They are beautiful. Fall here in Northern Maine is beautiful, but also a harbinger of a very long cold winter ahead. Enjoy what we have for now though, I guess. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration today (times two!).
