Stampin' Up! Little Letters
It's Sunday and that means it's the Paper Players chance to create for you. This week it's a sketch challenge hosted by Sandy. This is also my last week as a guest stamoer on the Paper Player's team. They were gracious enough to ask me to accept another 3 month guest spot, but I declined. This group of talented artists have been a joy to work with. Every one of them have been supportive and helpful and it's hard to say goodbye. But I will hopefully be asked again after the holidays to kick off 2015! I knew I wanted to keep this design clean and simple. Nine - COUNT THEM! NINE! - elements to this card with a solid background! I don't think you can get more clean and simple than this.
Step by Step Tips:
- For the candy corn And letters I started with a 1 1/2“ strip of Whisper White card stock. Using a sponge dauber I first created a stripe of Daffodil Delight on the bottom of the strip the width of the sponge dauber. Then I created a Tangerine Tango strip using the seame technige, but a different sponge dauber. Here's a tip. Mark your daubers with the color family you used - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Then you can reuse them without the fear of contamination with another color.
- I used the smaller pennant from the Petite Pennants Builder Punch to cut them out starting from the left and working right.
- The letters were created by positioning them on the strip making sure a bit of the white and a bit of the yellow showed at the top and the bottom. Everything was attached using the 2-way Glue Pen and Dimensionals. Simple!
Mike, this is a great card to finish out your PP stint. I love the bold graphic colors, I love how you managed to line them up so well and I love the BOO at the bottom of your card to continue the symmetry... oh... and I love that little candle holder, too! So glad you were able to join us for the last three months. It's been great having you as part of the team
hugs

Mike, I have enjoyed working with you at The Paper Players. I will miss seeing your fabulous work and reading all your kind comments! I sure hope our paths cross again soon, My Friend! Your card is fantastic! This girl LOVES candy corn! I mix it with peanuts and eat it all Fall. The way you sponged each piece and the letters is so creative.

Cute, and definitely simple. Great tip, marking the dangers by color family. I've done the same thing with my blender pens. There's no contamination between mediums or other colors.
I've been meaning to ask how Ricks niece is doing? Hope all is well. Hugs, Jess
