Stampin' Up! Bombs Away Birthday and Visions of Santa
It's Sunday and time for the Paper Players Challenge. This week it's a clean and simple Masculine Birthday card. When I first saw the Visions of Santa photopolymer stamp set, I loved it. It reminds me of The Far Side cartoon series. But trust me! I NEVER envisioned it for a BIRTHDAY card! Yet, here it is. And it goes so well with the Bombs Away Birthday photopolymer. Who knew Santa auditioned for Saturday Night Fever?! Just in case you can't read the sentiment, it says ”The misic you grew up on is now considered Classic Rock“
Step by Step Tips:
- These are going to be the shortest set of tips EVER! I stamped John Travolta in Tuxedo Black Mememto Ink and used the lightest colors of the Blendabilities Costal Cabana and Smokey Slate to color him in. No blending here as I wanted him to look like a cartoon. How could he help It with those tiny feet!?
- The sentiment is also inked in Memento Ink. Why get out another ink pad. This ink is just as crisp as StazOn®. The sentiment is stamped right on the card base. It doesn't get any more CAS than this!
So as a stamp set, the dancing santa's in sleep suits don't really do it for me, but I LOVE how you've used this stamp for a birthday card - this card made me chuckle and is a definite favourite of mine this week!

Hi Mike, what a fantastically crafty idea turning one of those Visions of Santas Santas into something so un-Christmassy! Brilliant. Thanks for sharing!

LOL!!! Too cute. I wish I had had those sets last week when I was making Don's birthday card. He would have loved it. I'm going to show it to him when he wakes up.
I haven't come across the Bombs Away set, is it new? I must be in wonderland lately. You know that card would be perfect for my son, Pete. He started a beard, and it's quite long and full! Lol. Well, off to make coffee. Hugs jess
