Stampin' Up! Mosaic Madness & Ornamental Pine
It's the first Monday of the month! And that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew! Time to give you a ton of ideas for a single stamp set. You have likely come from Deb Currier's blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
I volunteered to ceate a Holiday card from the Mosaic Madness set. I have to admit I wasn't quite sure how I was going to do that at the time. Then the Holiday Catalog was released to demonstrators and it was no longer a mystery. I LOVE Ornamental Pine! The detail on the stamp is amazing! I hope you like the final result.
- I love coloring rubber with markers! It really makes the image come alive. I used Old Olive (100079), Alway Artichoke (Part of the Regals Collection 131262) and Soft Suede (Part of the Neutrals Collection 131261) to color the pine branch.
- What would I do without my Stamp-a-ma-jig? Without it, the corner borders would have been all but impossible to do. I did use a post it note to help miter the corners. The stamped images are done in that wonderful Encore Gold Metallic Stamp Pad. The pic really doesn't do it justice. It looks engraved! Gorgeous!
- The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and perfectly placed ALSO using the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
- The ornament caps were cut from the Ornamental Pine ornament using my Paper Snips - ANOTHER great tool! They were stamped in the same Encore Gold Metallic Ink. They're popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Next stop on the Hop is Ann Schach where she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.

That is some pretty amazing mitering of the corners with the border stamp. And the way you merged the ornament top with the Mosaic stamped punches is seamless! I would say you hit this one out of the park!

Probably the most important tool in my craft room are my scissors. Love these sharp points. Second would be my Stamp-a-ma-jig. Great way to miter the corners. I've pinned it to my Stampin'Up board. Tfs, hugs Jess

This is a beautiful card Mike. I love how you turned the mosaic into a Christmas ornament. It reminds me of the vintage ornaments. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding, Mike! This card is absolutely gorgeous...I love how you turned the mosaics into ornaments and I adore that you suspended them from the pine boughs. I need to get myself added to your Christmas card list!
