Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree & Teeny Tiny Wishes
It's the 3rd Monday of the month, and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew to give you A ton of ideas for a single stamp set. You have likey come from Paula Wright's blog on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
This week it's a favorite of just about everyone judging from how long this set has been around! The date on the stamp set is 2001. Thirteen years is a pretty good indication of the staying power of this amazing stamp set. The Stamp Review Crew participated at Convention this year with our own collection of designs. This was one of my entries. My other will appear this Thursday as part of the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge.
I love making my own designer series paper, and this set makes it so easy. Blendabilities created the beautiful shading for the oak tree and Champagne Glimmer Paper gave my oak leaf REAL personality!
- The background paper was created using the oak leaves stamp. I did the random impressions with Tangelo Twist first, and then Hello Honey. The small spaces were filled with the tiny elm leaf and Mossy Meadow.
- The Oak tree was stamped with Black Memento Ink on Very Vanilla card stock. The Blendabilities Skin Tone Assortment was used to shade the trunk and Blendabilities Pumpkin Pie was used for the leaves. I sparingly used the Color Remover to highlight the tips of the top leaves.
- I die cut the Champagne Glimmer Paper oak leaf using the Autumn Accents Bigz die. Then I shaded it using Mossy Meadow and created the viens on the leaf using the brown Blendabilities pen from the Skin Tone Assortment.
- The Sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Mossy Meadow and matted on a Mossy Meadow Modern Label punch! Simple!
Next stop on the Hop is Ann Schach where she'll wow you with her beautiful design skills.
