Construct Your Own Pizza Box for Any Size Card
In July when I went to the Stampin' Up! Convention I participated in a “card” Trade with my Stampin Pretty Pals. The reason I say “card” is that I decided to do a set of gift cards with the accompanying “pizza” box to store them in. When I told my friends that I didn't use a pattern and that I just figured out the measurements, they were amazed. I probably would have used one if I had known one was available.
This is the second of three consecutive Sundays when I will be posting the DYO Pizza Box Trilogy which will guide you through the creation of your own custom pizza box. Click here for the Design video.

for the 3'' x 3'' card size pizza box in my November issue.
The formula for a pizza box is basically:
- Determine the card length (longest side of your card) and card width (shortest side of your card) and add 1/4" to each measurement. These measurements become the new card width and card length for the formula below.
- Determine the depth of the box
- Box depth + card length + box depth = card stock width
- Box depth + card width + box depth + card width + box depth = card stock length
For those of you who would like to create pizza boxes for Note Cards on page 171 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog, here are the measurements you'll need. They can all be made from a standard 8 1/2” x 11“ piece of card stock. All measurements assume a 3/4” depth.
Note Cards (107311) 20 Cards $5.95
Card stock measurement - 6 3/4“ x 9 3/4”
Score all four sides at 3/4“ and then score the middle fold at 4 1/2” and 5 1/4“
Elegant Notes (116450) 15 Cards $9.95
Pendant Notes (116449) 15 Cards $8.95
Fresh-Cut Notes (111882) 15 Cards $8.95
