Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree & Four The Holidays
The Pals Paper Arts Challenge for this week is a photo inspiration of winter whites. Creating a tone on tone card using Very Vanilla and Whisper White is somewhat difficult as neither offer enough contrast to show up. However using one of the Naturals card stocks named Ivory and some vellum, I was able to create a tone on tone that gave me the contrast I wanted with some gold embossing to highlight the images. I think it captures the winter's glow perfectly.

Putting It Together Tips:
- I cut a 4 1/4'' x 5 1/2'' piece of Ivory card stock and centered it on the Top Note Die. Save the die cut and use the negative for the frame.
- Cut a 4 1/4'' x 5 1/2'' piece of paper weight vellum and after wiping it with the Embossing Buddy, imprint it with the tree and sentiment images using VersaMark. Apply Gold Stampin' Emboss powder and heat set. Be careful to keep the heat moving. I usually hold the vellum in one hand by the corner while I heat emboss. This reduces the curl of the vellum. Apply SNAIL to all four edges of the Top Note frame and attach it to the vellum.
- Imprint the left tree stamp image using Soft Suede Classic ink and apply to the right card base aligning the middle of the center tree with the card stock edge. Reverse the process for the left side and attach the card face using SNAIL.
