It's Thursday! And that means it's time for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge. We alternate between a sketch and a color challenge. This week it's a Color challenge by our own Katy McGloin. I hope you're playing along with the Pals every Thursday. It's a great way to have fun while you improve your skills.
Here is another three step stamp set. Baby Bear was the stamp set I KNEW I wanted when I saw the preview of the new catalog. The dimension that is created by this set is amazing. And the new In Color Sweet Sugarplum supplied the perfect Designer Series Paper for a Girl - OR a boy!
Step by Step Tips:
- The bear is stamped in three different steps. If I had been using any dark colors I would have had to use a minimum of two different inks. The cupcake I did last week was created from two colors. But because Sahara Sand is a light tan, I am using each step with the same color ink. Each layer of ink is darker than the one before as I am building layers of ink.
- The sentiment is actually straight, not curved. But because the stamp set is photopolymer, you can bend the stamp to follow the curve of the banner as you're mounting it on the acrylic block. I stamped the banner first and the stamped the sentiment inside the banner image aligning the sentiment with the curve.
- The 2016-18 IN Color DSP Stack is a great buy. And as fate would have it, the designs I used on are the flip side of the same sheet. If you're not sure whether it's going to be a boy or a girl. you can create the entire card and assembled it once you know! Simple!
