Hello! My name is Mike Funke, and I'm a Stamp-a-holic!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Just a little bit about me:
I was born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan in 1950 and moved to Southern California in 1984. I have a degree in elementary education. However, until I retired in 2007 I was an instructor for the reservation system that United Airline used. It was towards the end of my teaching career that I first was introduced to Stampin' Up! through a colleague at work. I was always involved in crafting of some kind; ceramics, counted cross stitch, sewing, drawing, pastels and charcoal. But stamping was different.
From the moment I took a look at my first Idea Book and Catalog, I was hooked. Although I wanted to join Stampin' Up! immediately, I was apprehensive about the commitment I was making. That is until I discovered there wasn't one! Where do I sign up?! So I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in May of 2009. My original intent was to sign up as a hobby demonstrator for the discount. But because I love to teach, it wasn't long before I crossed over into the ranks of Career Demonstrator. I love all aspects of being a demonstrator. I offer classes, workshops, product training, and mentoring of individuals who decide to join Stampin' Up! as I did just a few years back. I am blessed with the ability to create the majority of my own designs.
