Stampin' UP! Santa's Sleigh and Merry Medley
It's December 1! 24 shopping days left until Christmas! 24 card making days left until Christmas! Now comes the push when we try to get everything done that we were supposed to try to Start in September! LOL The good news is this card can be made in about 10 minutes! Today I start a series of quick and easy cards that allow you to send handmade cards out even when there's limited time. These are fun and easy to make thanks to a background stamp that pretty much takes care of background AND sentiment. No need to decide which sentiment. It includes ALL of them! And monochromatic cards are always so dramatic!
Step by Step Tips:
- I started out by cutting a piece of 3 3/4" x 5" whisper white card stock. Ink up the Merry Medley stamp with Emerald Envy Classi Ink and stamp it on the whisper white card stock being careful to keep the sentiment straight in line with the edge of the card. Stampin' Up!'s Grud Paper (130148) is perfect for this. Align the top of the card with one of the horizontal center lines. The align the stamp wit a line a few spaces up.
- Using the same Emerald Envy Classic Ink, roll the Sponge Roller on the pad. Don't roll it up and down. Roll it down, lift the soongecroller up and roll it down again. This assures that there we will be in even layer of ink on the entire roller. Starting at the edge of the paper roll back-and-forth working your way towards the center. You'll need to apply several coats in order to create the dark edge fading to a later center start with the right side and continue turning the card by 90° and repeating the process.
- Using the tree stamp from Santas Sleigh, stamp it on a piece of Emerald Envy card stock using VersaMark ink and White embossing powder. Cut it out using the Santas Sligh dies and attach it using Dimensionals.
- mount the card front on a piece of 4"x5 1/4" piece of Emerald Envy card stock. Simple!
