It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for the Stamp Review Crew. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators focused on sharing a ton of ideas focusing on a single stamp set. This week we're featuring Botanical Blooms. You have likely come from Martha Inchley on your way through this amazing hop. If you get lost, simply click on the banner for a list of participants and get back on track.
This is such a popular set. I believe it originated in our Occasions Catalog this past January thru May. It's now a permanent fixture in our Annual Catalog. I decided to use a thinnest die that is new to our Annual Catalog called Swirly Squiggles. The background for this card is simply layers of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede layered on Early Espresso. Enjoy!
Step by Step Tips:
- The background was created by layering Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Swirly Squiggles die cuts on Early Espresso card stock
- The Elephant Ear Philodendrons were created by stamping Always Artichoke ink on Always Artichoke card stock and using the Botanical Builder Thinlits dies to cut them out. The Plumeria leaves are Old Olive ink stamped on Old Olive card stock. The Plumeria flowers were created by die cutting the flowers from the die set in Very Vanilla and Whisper White. Then I shaded them using my AquaPainter and So Saffron ink.
- The sentiment is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set. Simple!
