Stampin' Up! Convention 2011
As you know I spent 5 incredible days in Salt Lake City. Three of them were with over 3,000 of my closest friends at convention, and the first two were with my closest Pals from Mary's Fish's Stampin Pretty Pals. Now I admit I'm not overly crazy about being called a PRETTY Pal - would prefer something like Stampin' Ruggedly Handsome With A Touch of Gray Hair, Great White Beard And Athletic Body Pal, but Mary felt that didn't describe the group as a whole. Some people can be so selfish! LOL
That said, I had to share a few pics of some really wonderful people who follow my blog who were also at Convention. I had other pics taken with folks but still waiting to receive them via email. The first is a pic of my best Pals Ginger on the left, and Ann on the right. We were virtually inseparable through Convention.
Then there was Sue Dyas who gave Mary Fish and I some wonderful little treats and a gorgeous card.
This is Missy Shipman. She's a Demonstrator out of upstate New York. She was wonderful and was instrumental in my getting involved with our local public library. I attended one of her classes at Convention 2009 where she suggested approaching your local public library and the rest is history. Push those shoulders back, Mike! Don't slouch!!!
Then I met Denise who follows my blog on a regular basis. I must admit it was a bit unnerving to have so many people recognize me and me not able to return the favor!
Here I am with Spencer Willis. I believe Spencer is the Manager of Promotions, like this dynamite one we have right now with the $99 Starter Kit. I look like his kid - and older kid - but still his kid. Or worse yet, I'm the Travelocity dwarf! LOL He's very tall! I met Spencer at Convention 2009 after he did a Main Stage presentation and introduced himself as Dusty Durango. I've called him Dusty ever since. He did a great Main Stage musical number with his kids this year where he sang The Candy Man. Awesome!
Next is one of his employees Lyndon who is normal height, as you can see. He was guarding the VIP section from squatters. Honest Lyndon, I already had a seat and it was good! Lyndon was great to chat with while we were waiting for one of the General Sessions to start and I think we were both looking for another male to connect with. But as much as we chatted, he still wouldn't let me sit in the VIP section. DARN!
Convention is such a wonderful experience and I hope you all will be able to experience it some day. The Starter Kit is a great way to do a test drive of Stampin' Up! Products with no obligation to continue. Join my group of hobby stampers and tap into great support and resources. If it's not for you, you don't have to renew, and you have until December 31st to decide. Contact me for details!
Check out the $99 Starter Kit only available for the month of July.
It's a really affordable way to get some great products at about a 45% discount.
Check it out!

Mike, just catching up after two weeks with my grandkids and one week with my golf pals. I'm Whipped! But... to your posts. The Just Believe card is beautiful on your previous post, love how used that green (i have trouble with dark greens), and on this post.... these are such great photos...Looks like a great time was had by all. [I LOVE Ann Schach too.] and I have to say... your other is a very tall fellow! Hugs.
