Stampin' Up! Eyelet Border Punch & Perfect Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
The challenge for this week's Pals Paper Arts is a Clean And Simple challenge incorporating the scallop as the Element of Style. After thinking about this challenge a bit I wanted to do more than just use the element in the creation. I wanted it to be be a feature AND I wanted it to carry through the design. This design has three components - scallops, color, and dots. I wanted all three elements in all areas of the card. I had to rely on some retired ribbon to do that, but I did it. Enjoy!

Putting It Together Tips:
- This was a pretty easy card to create. Lots of repetition. The Soft Suede base was cut 5 3/8 x 4 1/8'' The Very Vanilla card stock was cut 4 1/4'' x 5 1/4'' Then punch the scallop on the bottom. Finally pass it through the embossing folder.
- The colored strips were created with a 3/4'' x 7'' strip. Punch the entire strip and position them to create the design and glue in place and then snip the over hang edges off.
- The oval was stamped in Soft Suede and the dots were colored in with a Stampin' Write marker. The butterfly was colored on the stamp with a Stampin' Write marker and printed on Whisper White card stock scrap and cut out. Use aN Anywhere Glue Stick to hold it in place.
- The investment for the Movers & Shapers Punch Windows is a great investment as they not only can be used to mat images, but also to create windows in cards in conjunction with the Movers & Shapers die.
